I love, love, love this book!!! After finishing Lie to Me, I knew it would be fantastic, but it exceeded all my expectations as it is one of my favorite stories of the year!

It's a bit of a slow-burn between Willow and Zeke from the start, but there was a magnet that kept pulling them together, no matter how hard they tried to fight it. And if you want to see some sexual tension and chemistry that is ah-mazing, you will get it with these two. Seriously, I can't get over how delicious Zeke is in all his broody gloriousness. He is a sexy as sin alpha male, but it really shocked me what he was hiding underneath that rugged, tough exterior.....mind was blown! And Willow - she is just a unique, beautiful, loving, caring woman who never backed down Zeke....and made sure he always used his manners ;)

Next up is Drake.....and after not even 30% of this story, I was already wanting his story and I know it will be worth the wait, just like this one!!

5 PLATINUM STARS!! As You Were went platinum for me!! This is one of the best rocker romance books I have ever read. Zeke....I have no words for this fine man....he is every woman's dream. Willow and Zeke are dying to tell you their story, so sit back and enjoy what they have to say. This story has all the feels and so beautifully written, I loved every word. Lee Piper is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Do yourself a favor and download this book.
This author writes words that speak to my soul. She doesn't follow the typical approach in her writing which considering this is a romance about the music industry that speaks volumes. Having read Lie to Me, the first book in this series, I wasn't sure anyone could come between me and my love of Shiloh and Reid. I was wrong. SO VERY WRONG.

Willow. Sweet holy Hades (taking a cue from the author here). This girl is something special. Truly special. She is truly a gypsy soul and one of a kind heroine. She is hippy but current at the same time. I loved her unique self and all that made her who she was whether that was meditation, yoga, crystals, or special teas. I loved that she called upon a number of Greek Deities whenever she was exasperated. I connected with her on so many levels and found myself smiling at her inner musings or feeling her anguish as she tried to find solace or understanding in an awful situation. Her resilience and inner fortitude were impressive, to say the least.

Zeke. This guy. Sweet holy Mary, Joseph, Jesus, and Gabriel. This guy in all his growly, grumpy, hotness. The things that came out of his mouth. SWEET Lord. I am not sure if my iPad will be back to a normal degree tomorrow because it was on FIRE. I literally had to fan myself. The fact that he got along with nobody but Willow spoke volumes. If he was the storm then she was the rainbow bringing beauty back to something that desperately needed it. The steam? Hell has nothing on how hot it was especially when you add in Zeke and his mouth. FIRE. Inferno hot.

This story touched on something that is hard to read about and was done with such grace and care. My heart broke for Willow and her Mom. I loved everything about how well this was handled from a medical perspective and just from a human perspective.

Seeing the secondary characters were fantastic again because it offered a familiarity with the story and also gave insight into what is coming next in the future. I truly hope that they all get their own story even Shiloh's band.

I would highly recommend this author and this series. The writer has a distinct writing style in which she balances humor, seriousness, and steam without it being cheesy. It is completely her style and I love it all that much more for that. This book could have gone on for a lot longer and I wouldn't have complained because she is that good plus I would have gotten to read more of Zeke and his wonderous mouth. No, seriously his dirty talk is THAT good. This series keeps getting better and better. I am super anxious for Drake's story next. That manwhore is going to have an epic story.
Awesome follow up to the first in the series Lie To Me. Another awesome cover as well. Even if I hadn't read Lee's work before this cover alone would draw me in. It's what drew me to Lie To me. As You Were continues where Lie To Me left off following Reid,Willow and Drake as the begin their intro into the music world. Winning the Rising Star contest they were given a recording contract, with one of the best producers in the business. Zeke is intense and brooding to say the least.

Willow is spiritual in the sense that she believes in the gods and goddesses, that holistic healing, one with crystals incense, and essential oils can help and heal a soul. Her rockstar persona is in sharp contrast to that. She can shred with the best of them.

Zeke, intense, brooding yet brilliant is one of the world's best producers, he has never had an album reach nothing but platinum or higher. Everyone wants to work with him. From the moment they meet Williow and Zeke are attracted to each other. Both try to fight it, and his version of fighting is gruff, grunting, cursing under his breath.

Once the give in to their attraction there is no going back. They are hot together, they could melt a glacier with their heat. The more you get to know Zeke the more you fall hard for him. He'd move heaven and Earth for her, and she in turn would do the same. Their relationship has some hiccups as all good ones do, but they get them. We see a different side to Willow, in a couple of scenes, the bad ass, do not underestimate me kind and it is so worth it it to see.

I love this series, it's relevant to the times, it's steamy, sweet, funny. All things a great book should be. It should make you feel what the characters feel, laugh,cry, hurt with them. What is the point of reading if it is just words. This author always gives the feels, good,bad,funny, sexy. All of it.
